Control How Far in Advance Slang AI Can Book Reservations

Every restaurant manages reservations differently. Whether you release inventory seven days out or a full year in advance, Slang AI now gives you the flexibility to define your exact booking window.

Automatically Inform Guests if They’re Within Your Grace Period, Too Late to be Seated, or Connect Guests With Staff

We released a highly-requested new feature that empowers you to fully customize your grace period policy. Tell Slang AI exactly how to handle guests when they’re too late based on your running late policy, or forward all "running late" calls along to staff.

Greet Callers Just Like a Human Would With Time-of-Day Greetings

Slang AI Concierges can now greet callers with a time-appropriate salutation. Slang will automatically say “Good morning,” “Good afternoon,” or “Good evening” based on your restaurant’s local time. To turn this feature on, select the new Time-Based Greeting radio button in Branded Greeting.

Greeting Schedule:
Good morning: 5:00 AM – 11:59 AM
Good afternoon: 12:00 PM – 4:59 PM
Good evening: 5:00 PM – 11:59 PM
Hello: 12:00 AM – 4:59 AM

Please note that the greeting schedule is fixed and set by Slang and that a time-based salutation may not be used at the same time as a custom salutation.

Increase Email Capture for Tripleseat Leads by Gently Nudging Guests

We’ve been making continuous improvements to the Slang AI x Tripleseat integration, especially when it comes to capturing lead details. Now, when guests call in with a private event request, they’ll be prompted to submit an email address via followup text once their lead is submitted to Tripleseat. If they don’t immediately provide an email address, we’ll automatically give them a gentle nudge two hours later to remind them to add their email address.

The second reminder text reads: “Just a quick reminder: We'll need to add your email address to your contact information. Please tap this link to submit it securely through our form: {link}.”
