Today, I’m excited to share that Slang AI has raised $36 million in Series B funding, led by U.S. Venture Partners, bringing our total funding to $68 million.
This milestone reflects the progress we’ve made and the opportunity ahead.
When Gabe and I started Slang AI, we were driven by a simple belief: hospitality is built on making people feel known. The best restaurants don’t just serve food. They remember you. They anticipate your needs. They make you feel welcome before you even walk through the door.
But there was one place where that experience consistently broke down: the phone.
Every day, millions of guests call restaurants ready to book, ask questions, or plan meaningful moments. And too often, those calls go unanswered, not because operators don’t care, but because their teams are fully focused on delivering great service in person.
We knew there had to be a better way.
From the beginning, our vision was to build an AI Superhost for hospitality: a system that ensures every guest interaction is handled with the warmth, attentiveness, and professionalism that defines great service.
Slang AI isn't just built to answer calls. It's built to maximize revenue. For example, when a restaurant is fully booked, Slang AI can offer guests a table at a sister location, so they don't lose those covers. When a private dining inquiry comes in at 9 p.m., Slang AI qualifies the lead and captures key details so events teams can respond right away. That's how we help our partners double the revenue they capture over the phone.
Today, Slang AI now serves more than 2,000 restaurant locations globally. We’ve handled over 25 million guest calls from more than 10 million unique guests. And we’ve seen firsthand how answering every call transforms the business: more reservations captured, stronger guest relationships, and more consistent service.
What makes this possible is not just AI. It’s the foundation we’ve built over years of working closely with hospitality operators and learning from millions of real guest conversations.
Every call has helped teach the platform how guests actually communicate: how they phrase requests, where they hesitate, what makes an interaction feel smooth and trustworthy. That experience allows Slang to respond naturally, reliably, and in a way that feels true to hospitality.
We’re incredibly grateful to our customers, who trusted us early and helped shape the product into what it is today. We’re equally grateful to our team, whose craftsmanship and dedication have made this possible, and to our investors, who share our belief in the future we’re building.
This new funding allows us to accelerate our work.
We’re investing in deeper personalization, so every guest feels recognized and understood. We’re building more proactive capabilities, so restaurants can stay connected with guests beyond a single interaction. And we’re expanding the platform to give operators greater visibility into their guest relationships and operations.
Our goal remains the same as it was on day one: help every hospitality operator deliver the kind of experience that keeps guests coming back.
We believe AI has the potential to strengthen human connection, not replace it. By ensuring every guest is heard, remembered, and cared for, we’re helping restaurants focus on what they do best: creating meaningful experiences.
To our customers, partners, investors, and team: thank you for believing in us.
We’re just getting started.
Sincerely, Alex Sambvani Co-Founder & CEO, Slang AI
