Historically, our updates have been significant yet sporadic or spaced out from one another. Until now, nearly all of those iterations and updates have happened behind the scenes.
The process of pushing updates always involves taking the time to ensure releases are impactful, thoroughly tested, and add real value for restaurants.
However, we want to iterate faster and more often. The time has come to embrace a more dynamic approach.
So, what’s changing? It’s important to note that this latest product update is coming very soon. There are many things behind the scenes, but let’s take a second to mention the three big changes that matter most.
Conversation design is now a breeze: Previously, the onboarding process required some upfront work to customize responses in your Slang.ai dashboard. This is meant to ensure you feel confident your guests will interact positively with our AI that appropriately represents your brand. With this enormous update, we’ve taken the lion's share of copywriting so you don't have to carefully script what the concierge will say to your guests.Moving to a new platform: We don’t want to get too technical, but this move is huge. Some improvements on this front allow us to enhance and expand upon technical integrations. More importantly, this will allow us to release updates faster, more often, and to all our customers simultaneously.More voices to embody your brand: You asked; we listened. Coming soon, you can choose from more voices. We've partnered with a cutting-edge leader in the digital voice space to deliver more options to make your concierge embody your brand better and put your guests at ease.Why this update is a big deal The latest iteration of Slang.ai marks a significant shift in how we will roll out future updates. We're moving towards a process that allows faster, more consistent improvements.
This means new features, enhancements, and optimizations will reach your hands quicker than ever without compromising quality and reliability. We’re planning a lot more for later in the year, and this latest update enables us to ship them to you at a rapid pace.
Outside of the big change to how we’ll deploy updates in the next year, customers frequently ask us when we’ll add new voices with a diverse choice of accents. Your concierge should always feel like an extension of your staff and match your brand.
Soon, all customers will have more choices than ever. This means you can have greater confidence that your guests will have a consistent experience, even when interacting with your AI voice concierge.
Lastly, we know that time is a precious commodity for restaurants, and customizing responses via your voice concierge can take some work to manage. That’s why our team has put considerable effort into building out our library of responses to ensure that every interaction feels personal, efficient, and, above all, human.
